Plastic Packaging for Cosmetics and Personal Care Brands

Personal care is the one sector where packaging carries as much of the sale as the formulation. Finish, weight in the hand and how cleanly a pump dispenses all shape whether a customer buys it a second time.

We supply bottles, jars and dispensing components to personal care brands and contract fillers, with the finish and colour options that let a new range look deliberate rather than generic — without pushing you into a mould investment before your volumes justify it.

What drives the specification

Choosing packaging for cosmetics & personal care

These are the factors that most often decide whether a pack works in this sector — and the ones we ask about first.

Dispensing matched to viscosity

A pump sized for a thin serum will struggle with a thick cream, and vice versa. Matching the dispenser to the actual product is the difference between a pack that feels premium and one that frustrates.

A coherent pack family

Ranges sell better when the packs read as a set. Consistent colour, finish and cap language across sizes matters more than any single bottle being perfect.

Finish and decoration

Gloss, matte and frosted finishes change the perceived price of an identical formulation. Decoration route — sleeve, sticker or screen print — should be settled alongside the bottle, not after.

Realistic launch quantities

Stock shapes with custom colour and decoration let a new range launch at a sensible minimum. Custom shapes are worth revisiting once volumes are proven.

Suitability always depends on your specific formulation, fill process and storage conditions. We recommend confirming compatibility with samples before committing to a bulk order.

Typical packaging requirements

  • Shampoo and conditioner bottles in 200–500 ml
  • Hair and face oil bottles with dropper or screw caps
  • Cream and balm jars from 25 g upwards

Cosmetics & Personal Care packaging — frequently asked questions

Can you supply packaging for a small first production run?

Yes. Stock shapes finished in your colour with your labelling are the practical route for a launch — they avoid tooling cost and carry far lower minimums than a custom mould. We will quote the realistic minimum for the shapes that suit your range.

Can you match a specific brand colour?

Colour matching is done with masterbatch at the moulding stage. Send your shade reference and quantity and we will quote the custom colour alongside the nearest stock colour so you can weigh the cost difference.

Do you supply pumps and sprayers separately?

We normally quote bottle and dispenser together so the neck finish matches, but dispensing components can be quoted on their own if you already have bottles.
