Plastic Packaging for Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Products

Pharmaceutical packaging is judged on protection and traceability. The pack has to hold the product stable for its stated shelf life, show unambiguously whether it has been opened, and come with documentation that satisfies your quality system.

We supply bottles and containers for oral liquids, solid dosage forms, nutraceuticals and healthcare products, and we are straightforward about what documentation is available for any item before you order rather than after.

What drives the specification

Choosing packaging for pharmaceuticals

These are the factors that most often decide whether a pack works in this sector — and the ones we ask about first.

Light protection

Light-sensitive formulations need amber or opaque packaging. Amber PET is common for oral liquids; opaque HDPE is used where full light exclusion is required.

Tamper evidence

Pilfer-proof caps and induction seal liners are the standard mechanisms. Which one you need depends on the dosage form and the expectations of your channel.

Moisture control

Solid dosage forms are usually the moisture-sensitive ones. Containers that accept desiccant, combined with a reliable seal, are the usual answer.

Documentation

We pass on the material grade and food/pharma-grade declarations the manufacturer issues for the item sourced. If your quality system needs a particular certificate, ask at the enquiry stage so availability is confirmed before you commit.

Suitability always depends on your specific formulation, fill process and storage conditions. We recommend confirming compatibility with samples before committing to a bulk order.

Pharmaceuticals packaging — frequently asked questions

What documentation can you provide for pharmaceutical packaging?

We share the documentation the manufacturer provides for the item sourced — typically material grade and food/pharma-grade declarations. We do not issue certification ourselves, and we will tell you clearly what is and is not available for a given item before you place the order.

Do you supply child-resistant closures?

Yes. Tell us the closure standard your product needs to meet and we will source and quote against that specification.

Can you match the pack we currently use?

Usually. Send a sample or a photograph with the neck finish and capacity, and we will look for a match that runs on your existing capping line without changes.
